New Red Tiger Mota/Barred Midas

Congrats on those fish!
That Midas is a Looker! Mine has a tone of Red in him, he is about 6" Ill post some pics after work.....Looks awesome man!

hey tapeworm did you get those pick ups from Art at Exotics in moreno valley?
if so art sells this FD shrimp that will pop the color out on that rtm in a week or so. i have a rtm from him and the color is awesome (pics later) and my son brought the midas very nice pics.

Yeah actually I did. I'm always very weary of buying fish from that place, but I couldn't pass these up, even though they had no clue what they had. I don't really like that place, and usually avoid it like the plague but I was in the area, and said what the hell. If I decide to go on my own (rare), then I will go to buy some media, because he usually gives me a good discount. But prices their are ridiculous. He wanted $34 for each the RTM and the Barred Midas. I walked out of there paying $30 for both.I will get some update pictures later to see how the color is coming out already. I've been feeding them NLS, and his colors are coming out nicely. I can see some vibrant yellow and orange hues. 
that s what i say the prices are to high for me. i paid $29.00 each for both RTM and the barred midas (which they class as a red devil).
then i went in 3 weeks later and brought my carpintes at 1'' and it was $29.00 so im looking for another lfs in between there and palm springs area if you know of any let me know.
like i said the have a FD shrimp that all my fish love ...befor i was feeding them 3 types of foods (their was always a picky eater).
he has a 8'' - 10'' pike iwant but i thinks its way too much for $134.00... too much?

The RTM is definetly a female. The Midas is too small to sex by appearance. It would just be a guess...but I would also say male.

CaliCichlid, try going to Treasured Pets in Banning right off of Highland Springs off the 10 fwy. He always has some nice fish, and great prices. There is also another fish store in the same shopping center that he is in (ALbertsons Shopping Center). Where you are coming from you get off the 10 make a left and the shopping center is on the left hand side about 1 min from the off ramp.

sorry for the delayed response. do you know if Treasure pets are opened on Sunday if not i will look it up. i think but not sure you are talking about PET LOVE over in the Albertsons / Kmart plaza (directly across from the kmart garden shop). I purchased our family dog there.... didnt know they sold or dealt with fish. Any way thanks for the looking out / info hope to return the favor.
