I'm pretty sure that last Sunday's show wasn't new since my DVR didn't record it; I have my DVR set to record all new episodes of River Monsters. 
Well, that and that show wasn't in the episode guide for this season.
Also, it looks like upcoming episodes include the electric eel, the Japanese giant salamander, and the aimara wolf fish.
