Any pics of that guy? Would love to see him at that size.

already posted elsewhere but here goes! This pic is about two weeks old, so he's actually a little bigger. If you look there's a hint of red comming in the tail although really, really dark. This fish is one of the darkest catfish I have every owned next to a full marble, or Jau. Trying to get him bigger so that he can go in with the RTC and others.

Beautiful fish! Great job

looks AWESOME !!!! What type of personality does that guy have ??? I've found another one locally but after losing 4 of them I'm a little hesitant. I guess I can be talked into trying another though :screwy:

lol, come on bob. If you had kept 4 tigs and all had died wouldn't you still want to try? I think personally you should treat these fish comming from any source on a low dose for any ailments they might be hiding. Try to get them eating right away. Maintain a vigorous water changing routine. I have noticed with mine that when I skip one of the twice weekly water changes his appetite diminishes. I've also noticed that since I've moved his tank around to where he is forced out into the open he eats more. Mainly because he can see the food I think. Just a few things to keep in mind with these gorgoeus hybrids. The personality of mine is great now that he's not hiding anymore. I can hand feed it, and it pretty much acts like a rtc, just a lil more skittish. I just wish they had the head of a rtc more than a marble. If not for the relatively small head I would have him in my pond right now!

Your 100% right. I now stock melafix and some others and will never NOT dose them again. Cheap insurance and I'll always wonder if I could have saved the four I had If I had given them a dose.

Your fish looks incredible........ I might be ready for #5 :screwy:
