My lfs had a paroon a few years ago, they said it came in on a shipment of iridescents. It grew about 18" long and they were asking 300$. Not sure who bought it, but that's the only time I have heard of them here in the states.

Man! Those are expensive and rare, aren't they? And challenging to raise from babies as they need a specialized feeding protocol...

Yes quite. I wasn't too pleased. I already had the arowana taking food as well so it's a disappointment to say the least. The rtc is being kept alone now as a result
