Ok.... I'm thinking im going to bring him back b/c the dats mean way more to me...

That sounds like a pretty responsible choice. Both because of the Dats and because an RTC will outgrow probably 99% of the tanks on MFK.

Good idea

Anyone want him that lives in the buffalo area? U can have him for $15.

Anyone?!?!? Save me the time of going back to the LFS which is about 20 minutes away.

I you will be able to keep him in there for about six months. The small dats will most likely going to end up as a meal for the red tailed. They are my favorite cats in my opinion. To bad they get so large..

If the dats are important to you, bringing back the rtc is a very smart idea. Within four months my rtc was eating 4" oscars that I thought would have been fine.

LUCKY! I have heard of ppl losing tankmates due to the fast growing RTC!

My frontosa are more of a threat to smaller fish than my RTC in our tank. He is kinda shy around his tank mates, except for the lima that I think is his secret lover. She never leaves him alone. He would much rather dance for us, and ignores everyone else. he may in the future mess with his tank mates, but he's over 10 inches, and we have bristlenoses, and a little fat clown plec at 3 inches that swims around, and a small 4 inch front who is the smallest of the colony, the only thing he lunges for is food, and it has to be shrimp, tilapia, or pellet. Like I said, he may change, but for now.... he's ok. Soon enough he will have his own pond to play in :D They definitely need a big home once they get big. I got Joker at 2 inches last August (09) and I measured him this weekend and he is a little over 10 inches. Not as much growth as some people I read about, but he's deformed, so who knows, maybe he's just a slow grower lol.
