I thought I would get an in progress FTS up for you guys to see what I'm working on. I am not done with it (I need to order an inline heater, two Eheim 2217's/UV etc..) but at least it's running now. This is the redone 120 gallon for my Parachromis motaguense aka the "future stunners" pair. I'm really happy with how it's coming along :D What do you guys think/would change????

(sorry for the crappy cell pic)

He has more than doubled in size since I picked them up. She is growing much slower. The other female is larger but MUCH less colorful. I have a backup male in the garage too :D

That tank is awesome

Thanks Bryan, wait until I get it finished it is going to be sweet. This background was made for a female RTM to get away from a male. I'll get some pics up of the "retreat" later, so I don't have to use a divider. Anything you would change besides the heater and sponges (temporary)?

I think some sort of top would be a good idea, Parachromis love to jump. :)
Whatever happened with the FX5 that was on it?

Noted about the top, thanks. I didn't know Parachromis where jumpers. I was actually going to look into that this weekend, thanks for the heads up. I moved the FX5 to the dovii tank since it needed another. I wanted Eheim canisters on this tank so it's silent (in the dining room). I will be putting two 2217's on it. The Eheims will make it easier to plumb the UV and inline heater as well.

man's got skills!

Thanks Peter! ;)

Well, I KNOW jags are jumpers for sure, and my freddys just started doing it, so I'm gonna assume the risk is definitely there when youe RTMs get a bit bigger. Better safe than sorry, should cut down on evaporation and electricity to heat the tank as well.

The only thng I would change is the tank location....it'll look much better in my dining room!!

Beautiful tank Justin! I always look foward to your projects. Clockwork is right on about the top. I left the lids off my 300 for a bit and we noticed alot of water on the floor, the wall, the dog......
After some observation, we noticed " Mo " our Freddy, making runs at the surface and splashing alot, so we put the lids back on just to be safe.
