I use a combo of two to three different programs when editting since I do not have a CS version of Photoshop.With that said I use lightroom,gimp,and photoshop elements

I assume lightroom is to process from RAW, but what does gimp do that elements doesn't ?
I'm not familiar with gimp, so I don't really know what it does. Lol.

It very well may do nothing different than elements.....I honestly have no clue-But after useing elements now for about 2 years or so...I still have yet to figure much out with it..I downloaded gimp and was amazed at the simplicity of it.....Much easier to navigate as far as I am concerned.

Adobe lightroom does exactly that-A program that concentrates on the lighting of said Pics....Also easier than elements...And more precise as well....
