New Senegal Bichir

I was worried about the same thing months ago, till my senegal finally learned when its feeding time, you have to get it if you want it. You could also try sinking pellets in combination with floating ones.

Also, I have some fake plants that my oscar uprooted, instead of putting them back into the sand, I leave them floating, and sometimes I throw some pellets into that, most other fish in the tank don't seem to see them, but the bichir always sniffs them out.

I jut got a new senegal... He is in a 120 wide with a Indo dat, black aro, giraffe cat and common pleco.... He seems to be doing well, other then not being quick enough to eat..... when I feed, the others quickly devour all the food!!! I dont want to over feed my entire tank just to get him to eat. any input???

what kind of tank do you have? ive been looking around for a shallow/ wide style tank.
