new setup of 610 gallon tank post move.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
TheWolfman TheWolfman there are a few issues here one is the cavitation the other is the water overflowing when power is cut and starving the pump. Issue one can be solved by adding water until it matches the rest of the sump. The other can be solved by solenoids or maybe removing the baffle it would depend on how much water is stored and how much drains down

I've lost track of what we're trying to solve for OP now LOL.

I reviewed the original 4 questions

1) don't combine edrains
2) drill hole for siphon break
3) the water will drain to the lowest drain pipe. OP needs to test based on her/his setup and sump
4) nozzle will work and this question is related to question 2

I think as we started to answer OP introduced other questions and points. A amber1986 did your questions get answered?

Yes I think I have all my questions answered now. If I have additional I'll start a new thread

I still think the return is way too a small. The easiest and simplest solution to both issues would be to remove the last baffle, and provide more water to the return pump don't you agree? Adding a solinoid to the drain on the sump would make it more complicated then it needs to be imo.

TheWolfman TheWolfman It would, but he doesn't want to remove it. Removing it would provide more water for the pump during a power outage, that's about it.
