New severum not doing well

what do you put in your tap water when you add water? your guys tap water may be better than so cal tap. lol. just wanna know what your puting in it. hopefully someone else will jump in too
We use Start Right. I tested our tap water a couple of months ago & it was safe for nitrates, zero nitrites, hard, alkalinity was 120 & the ph was 7.8. (since the angels like the slightly higher ph i didn't worry about that). No ammonia issues with our tap water either.
yea thats whats stumping me, cichlids like the hardness and higher PH. i think its just been thru alot on the ride home. its been hot maybe the temp change was hard on him. and sometimes the gold sevrums sleep on the bottom of the tank. i take care of a 100 gal gold sev tank. one nite i came in and turned the lite on and had a mini heart attack cuz 6 of my clients cichlids were laying on the floor of the tank. sure enuf i stayed there and they ended up swimming around. but the upside down swimmin aint rite
it's the upside down swimming that has me worried. I guess I'll just watch him for tonight & see if he's better in the morning. If not I'll be back here looking for more help. Lol
sounds like a plan. if you have aquairum salt or some stress coat. id throw it in there and turn the lite off for the nite.
