new shark owner

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its been running for 1 year and a half , i used to have a reef , its a 100 gallon , its 900 gallon is being setup right now . just gonna take a month before its done . so i was leaving it in the 100 till its done , everything is fine . ive had saltwater aquariums since i was 13 , im 30 now . i just really want this shark to hatch ! and thats the space the yolk is under the shark thats the top of the shark head.

It looks like your shark egg is healthy.... compared to pictures....

The only thing i can now think of that might cause a problem is water quailty/conditions. If those are fine, then i think you just need to crack open a beer. There are others that had issues with mucus on other forums, but those sharks seemed to hatch. Or at least there where no death reports. I don't think you have much to worry about man ;)

mines doesn't look like that tho , the tail is wraped around the yolk underneath it , and the body of the shark is leaning towards the egg ?

those sharks are a little larger, and the sac will move around as the shark grows of course. As he moves he can move the sac around. He could have wedged himself into the corner and is stuck in that corner. There could be a ton of different things....

I am officially out of my experience and league with this one :(

All i can say if you know the lfs is good, and your water quality is great, you shouldn't worry man.

god i know , its like having a child , if only they could speak to you eh !

I thinks its almost worse! There are no fishy doctors, everyone fends for them selfs! Thats what makes places like this so great though, trust me you will get your answer to that mucus. It just may not be tonight. I have 3 of my own bamboos, i love them very much. I learn every day for them, and I am sure you will have a little guy of your own very soon :headbang2
