New Shark Pool

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just a helpful hint, but this hasn't really been up and running long enough for too many animals yet. I'd let it run just like this for a few weeks while it establishes itself.

You were smart to increase the water level. You don't want the pump to suck in any air. It's hard on the pump, and it actually forces air into the waterstream, risking superstaturation conditions (too much O2 in the water).

Thanks for all the help. It's much appreciated. Especially zoodiver, andeveryone else too! Ihope you didn't get the impression I was putting the round ray in the pool. That was just a random shot I took while I had the camera out. That ray is staying where she is.

I'm still confused about the water flow. I tried all valves open, shortened the return pipes, anything you could think. Still overflows
Hmmmm

Anyone know if sharkdealer or sharkbait are still around and available?

To stop the barrels over flowing you need to make the returns bigger, or add a second return to each barrel, allowing more water to pass through the pipes.

It's looking good so far mate.

Clear water!
