Thanks guys it took just about the whole weekend, switching from gravel and no background to sand and spraypainted the background black. So im pretty happy how it turned out.

Muske- Yeah i keep it at that level so it gets enough oxygen. Do you think i chould have it higher without adding an air stone?

im getting some more brevis this weekend. What sort or mix should i go for? 1m 2f? or 1m 1f?

Nice setup.
You should get some gold, black or blue ocellatus. They are my favorite dwarfs. They have alot of personality.....

yeah i was thinking about it but ive read that eventially if i add occy's theyl take the tank over from the brevis?

also does any one have ideas for what mix of male to female brevis i should go for ?

Ocellatus has more personality than brevis. But if you're gonna get brevis than do a trio.....

i finally got some shots(still not the best),

ive added 2 female brevis and 1 more calvus to grow out,

the male brevis is already keeping both females in their shells even though there nearly the same size as him at the moment, hopefully they get breeding soon.

Not really, I've seen brevis that beat up ocellatus for the shells. It all depends on the fish you have, some brevis are more aggressive than ocellatus.

So in a 2foot 11gall tank do you thnk there might be room for a pair of occy's?
