got 2 new shortbodies, pls id. Only wanted to get one to replace the one that passed away recently, and the shop owner recommended me the first one. Picked him up last week and on the way I saw the second one for about 40usd in another shop and couldn't resist, body not as nice as the first one but I like the pearling.

I am sorry if you already choose the first one. Because of I would like to recommend the second one, so both of two are very nice but I think that the fin of first one is falling down more than the second one. And the shape, color and fin of second one is more harmonise than the first one.

So, if I am in that situation:screwy:, I will choose the second one.:headbang2

as for the size difference, I would definetly worry, but not in the sense that its impossible for them to mate, but more that he could kill her........the only thing you can do is try and keep a very close eye on them, as well as provide her with as much "her size only" hidding places and hope for the best....just because that one 11 inch fish was gentle with the SB female doesnt mean thats the typical response, also keep in mind any pair could turn on eachother at any time even if they were completely gentle for a long time. If you care about losing the female take the precautions I named above, and good luck these are awesome fish! p.s. Dithers may help in dettering the Flowerhorn pair from turning on eachother...

these fish are really nice, i wish i could find fish like this in liverpool, these are reallt rare over hear (like all flowerhorns)

i would say the second one is the best, but get both the males to breed with that female if possible.

breed 1 then take the fry and introduce the other male when you have taken the first one out :P if that makes any sense haha
