The Silver Dollars are complete pigs. I have never seen a fish eat like they do. They gather everything in their mouths as fast as they can. I have to use a PVC pipe to get food down to the bottom for all the other fish. The barracuda will eat nothing but Platys. I love the bichirs, especially the Ornate, but he is really skittish.

That is a great idea about using the pvc pipe.. i am doing okay for now but good to know for future.. i have been using those big tongs to reach a couple of my guys that reach right out and take it.. love your fish!

Yes, the PVC pipe works very well. I first started using one when I had an Mbuna tank and I needed a way to get food down to the Clown Loaches.

Thanks. These are the best pictures I have of the silver dollars. They are hard to take pictures of.
