New shovel nose question??

That sounds like a Lima. When I was at my LFS today, I snapped this picture for my daughter to see some small RTCs. In the background you can see two Limas vertically against the glass.

hey by the looks of the pictures its a regular tiger shovelnose and the guy at the pet store says he will get over 3 ft long. i do have a place for him to go after he grows out. i read that by the end of a year he will be about a ft long is that accurate or am i in for a bigger suprise

It probably depends on how/what you're feeding it, but there have been members on here who have had them get to around 20"+ in the first year...

btw, if you can post up a pic of it, we can give you a positive ID.
