Yeah I'm sure it's a lima now. I wasn't worried about the lima eating my cross... I was worried about the cross eating the lima. They're separate right now, and the lima is about an inch and a half shorter than the cross and way skinnier. I don't know if I should put them in together yet or not.
I would beef up the Lima first. Let it grow a bit. Also, see also how your cross interacts with other fish. My RTC was raised from a baby around these bigger guys, and (i hope) respects them.
My cross gets along very well with the tiger oscar he's in with right now. The cross ignores all of the other fish except for the little albino oscar that he's already claimed.
I'll give the lima a month or two to beef up. See if maybe I can't get him to eat beefheart like my (new) albino oscar (he's grown a ton in just a few weeks).
No, my old albino oscar already went in one side and came out the other of my cross. He was a blueberry dye job, though, and he didn't grow or eat at all. The new one is an albino tiger and he's growing really quickly unlike the sickly blue dyed one.
Also, for your lima, what kind of pellets do you feed it?
She eats any pellet honestly. I order in bulk from Kens fish. Hungry Girraffe means many puonds of pellet. He won't eat anything else. So the combo of what she gets is, Veggies Stix, Soft Krill pellet, Sinking Spirulina, Catfish Pellet, Seafood wafers, and of course massivore. She will eat the shrimp and tilapia, but gorges on the pellets.
