This thread might be a bit pointless... I'm probably just paranoid. I recently bought a pair of red isletas from Jeff rapps. The fish are super shy and darty and hide all the time. I don't know exactly how aggressive these guys are supposed to be but they were goetting their arses kicked by my Cuban pair so I removed the Cubans too a spare 10 gallon for the moment. I have read that they are just as personal as Midas so I am hoping they come around. They have spent about a day without the Cubans. The only tankmates at the moment are 5 silver dollars which are not helping the situation. Silver dollars=worst dither fish ever!
Now to my question. Is there anything I can do to help bring the isletas out of their shell? Will it just take time? I will be leaving for a couple of days so maybe that will help. Should I re-introduce the Cubans before I leave? The tank has been re-scaped to help the situation. I will post pics once they settle in they are still quite stressed. Oh and I got them Wed.
