New sight at pond?

My neighbor has a pretty big pond. I'm fishing and I am catching carp so I walk around the pond and on the end I see something that looked like a light colored bichir swim from the side into the middle. Any ideas what it could be? I live in pa, so don't think it was a bichir lol

I was thinking that but it was short and stubby, and I've never seen a whiteish colored snake there before

How big is the pond? If its really big then it's still way too cold for a snake to go in. Dunno where you are in pa, but it was in the 60s here in jersey today. Snakes are still searching for sunlight, not swimming.
