In between photo try this site http://www.snakeheads.org/ Also try fishbase with search under p and view all parachanna and c and view all channa although quite a few have no pictures.Problem for many shops is that identification should be down to importers and wholesalers and the shops are hesitant to name unless they are 100% sure, which in juveniles is not easy.Even if they could get a country of origin it would narrow it down.

Could be totally wrong, but, it looks like Channa Barca, well expensive fish. a pair went for several thousand pounds i read in a trade magazine at the shop i work at.

sje - channa barca are kind of white underneath and speckled yellow/brown on top. Not gonna be one of those.

They are incredibly beautiful though.
