new snakehead :)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
congrats on the rainbows, they are wonderful fish to keep. no heater should be necessary for them. for five of them i think something bigger than a 33 gal might be in order as they grow to 6-8". the substrate is up to you. just make sure you have plenty of plants for them, floating and rooted.

haha ur funnie
! haha but yah my dad got them, i was in school, then i came home with a tank full or rainbows. cause i have a 78gal in my living with some guppies and angels and fish like tht, so i guess im gonna more the pluro, into the 78 gal? and so should i maybe put the snakheads in the 33 gal with a heater to 18C or leave the heater out?, also remeber i live in Vancouver it gets pretty hot/ or it can get pretty cold! haha

last questions should i put sand or gravel/ rocks with the snakeheads?

if it gets really cold where they are situated put a heater in set to 18c just as a back-up ,most modern houses will not get colder than 18c unless in a basement ect , they can stand the hoter weater as long as its not perminant. your 33 might last a fair while , biger is allways better but hopefully they will pair up for you then you will be left with just two in a 33 which isnt so bad , you will just have to play it by ear with the pleuros the length of the tank is useally the limiting factor and if not enough space provided are know to knock themselves out on the glass , it will become obvious to you if the tank is starting to get too small as they grow , then you can decide to either upgrade or move on

cheers col
