that last one reminds me of one of the megalancistrus sp. the first few. first few look kinda like some of the L185s ive seen. ill have to search this one.
I agree that it has a similar body style to a megalancistrus, but only the last one.

not even L185?
Somewhat... kind of dependent on whether the colors were brought on by stress, the flash, or if those are the natural colors.

nothing gets past those eyes. is it your shop? or one near you?

nope... all pics from taiwan.... so far they're the only ones having this pseuda sp. ...

gotta be careful... nowadays pics are hard to trust.

take the other pics as a base... that pic was meant to highlight the markings...

the debate currently is whether its just a fat shortbody type L185 or a diff sp. by itself...

after looking it up, it looks a lot like the L185, which is what i first thought, but there are obv. differences. im not sure. are these the only ones, or do they keep coming in? dont suppose anyone is going to do a autopsy type comparison?

I agree that it does look like an L185, excluding the flash picture. The shape is very odd though. Perhaps a single mutation, or select mutation, or a new species, or as IoStrisciare said, a short fatbody.
