New Spin on using CINDER Blocks for Aquarium Stands

Looking for a cheaper stand and found a website that makes the cinder blocks look nice.

I was thinking of using this for my 75 and 40 gallon breeder tanks.

lol painting's not new. you can also stucco them, add stonework to them or basically do anything you want to them. it's not new, just uncommon because most people doing cinderblocks are going for cheap.

It's funny,I've always thought of using cinderblocks for a stand but I don't recall ever thinking about painting them.

Sorry people, I haven't seen it done before. Still a great idea though, the blocks look good enough to be in main parts of the house.

I am going to try the idea in a couple of days. I'll post pics also.

If your going to make a stand of cinder blocks, I would use mortar to help bind the blocks together.

People die every year from using cinder blocks to jack up their car. They seem sturdy but can easily crumble from an impact.

This will work for my 65 that is on the floor. The insanely expensive tank stank buckled.
