New SRT (turning black...)

Yeah, it seems high. I'm 100% sure I could trade it in to my LFS and they would sell it for that price in less than a week. There is a big boom in hybrids at the moment there. That one I was trying to sell for $150 and dropped to $70 last week sold the very next day after I traded it in at the store for $130. It's just that it's for store credit. I need some cash. If it comes down to it though, I'll just trade him in. That or sell it cheap to Milkman.
 
I know this thread isn't so new but I just wanted to reassure you that the black coloration is completely fine, and my SRT had it for a few weeks after I brought him home. (Stress of moving, maybe?) Anyways, you have a great looking SRT, have fun with him! :-)
 
Thanks. The black coloring has gone away for the most part. He has also grown a great deal. 50% water changes every few days with an insane amount of beef heart in his diet is helping.
I'm hoping to get him up to the same size as my cichlids in my 240 before I move. So I can put him together with them for the move and make one less tank to worry about moving and cycling quickly.
