Don’t think there’s a time set but once it’s comfortable and stable. Should be quick if it’s not stressed and ur water quality is good and stable. When should the back of his disc go back down?

Can I keep on my water change schedule or will that stress him out? I normally do large water changes every two days.
I offered some night crawler and tilapia this morning. He has been in the tank for about 12 hours and has moved around a little but is still sitting in one place for a long time.Moving around is a good sign. Sitting in the same place not moving is not. Have u tried feeding yet?

He was not interested in food that I saw but I also had to leave for work. The other ray was busy maiming live-bearers and has largely left the new ray alone
There is not an air stone in the system but I can add one when I get home from work. He was eating night crawlers and shrimp. He is about 6 inches across. I saw him eat before I brought him homeI would be trying smaller foods (frozen bloodworms, brine or mysis shrimp) did u ask what he has been eating from whoever u bought it from? Also, did u have/add an airstone?
I'll keep offering food and keep the room as dark as I can, as well as add aeration and hope his disc goes back down. It hasn't curled but I think he is really worked up from shipping.
