I brought a new stingray a mini marble, I currently have a mini marble in my tank that I have had for a while now. My old stingray eats anything that is offered to him. However the new stingray is not eatting anything that I have gave her. She has not eat for 9 days now and her hip bones are now showing. She can swim through the water and window surf, I just very worried that if I don’t get her to eat she is going to pass away. I don’t know what to do and the person I brought her from is not Interested in the slightest and just said she was on pellets and shrimp and was eating. I have tried pellets, shrimp, blood worm, earthworms, mussels

Thanks for your reply I will try the ghost shrimp will go and get some tomorrow, but I have tried earthworms and she will not take them ?. I just don’t know what is happening as she is swimming through the water. And is fine in every other sense she just losing weight and not eating.

I have not treated it for parasites, what would be the best medication to use for this please

Prazi pro for internal parasites. But I see an indentation in her forehead in that pic, right? If so, I would not treat. Just separate, get her in the dark, and cross ur fingers. I would not take a chance on further stressing her personally.

yes her head has sunken in between her eyes I noticed this, this morning. I have read that when this happens that there is little chance of recovery. I will separate her now. The light are off as well now. Thank you for your help. Just praying that she pulls through. But I don’t think she is going to.

Anytime. The majority do not come back from the sunken forehead at my house. But, sometimes they do! There is some hope man. Best of luck!

This is the indentation. I’m just gutted, I got her from the same breeder, as my other one, as he is fine and didn’t have any problems. I will just keep trying to offer her food hopefully she will give in and eat very soon.
