new stock list will they all work ?

go for a jardini or black aro... all silvers get drop eye, its horrible to see their eyes all messed up no cure and it will get it almost definitly! black will fit in your tank better aswell, a 4 foot silver is huge and to big for a 300!

To inform you and the op a 48" aro isn't gonna happen. You'll be luck to see a 36" aro.

To the op I have kept and currently keep my species of gars, bichirs, pbass, and aros. I have had them mixed. I would stick with a silver or black aro. Wait on bichirs as they can eat small aros. Go with a Florida gar if you still want a gar. Watch the gar and aro combo because gars like to bite and kill silver fish. I suggest you check out the gar sub forum for a proper I'd of Florida gars. On more ocations then I can remember I see Florida's labeled as gators. You may buy a "gator" and it is really just a reg Florida like you want. Pbass can cause gars to get broken backs. All apart of a possible group of risks if you want these fish mixed. Bichirs and gars are great together.

Some food for thought.

hmmm, well maybe i'll get a florida gar after or last, so everyone else is bigger then what he is so he doesnt try to eat or harm the aro, and or others..... but we will see what happens, a gar is on the bottom of the list atm i believe

IMO a gar should be at the top of your list of fish and you should plan around them...lol I have a 180gal basically dedicated to gars! I'll be building a 10'x10'x3' for my gar collection and more tanks. Gars are awesome!!!!!!

Well a gar was only a thought as I found a 7" gar for 20$ but its alligator which I've been advised not to get hence the size they grow and etc

well here is an idea and thought.... i still have both my oscar's one tiger and one albino the tiger ive had since he was super tiny like 2" nursed him back to health after a major disagreement with my female JD (which is in a different tank now) i thought what if i traded in my bigger albino and kept my tiger oscar and got fish that were about his size or bigger ? would that be a good idea or no... i dont really wanna get rid of my tiger oscar as i have attachment to him more then anyone else i have lol ... (albino was just a rescue) and the tiger always surrenders to the bigger albino she is the boss in the tank as far as im concerned as she is the biggest outta everyone....

so the tiger is about 9" max, if i got a 12" aro, 12-15" orante bichir, 10" peacock bass, would those be a good size to be ok with together ? or do you advise not to do it ? im just thinking of a ways to possibly keep my tiger if i can as i dont have another tank for him here :(

those would work fine but the real question is tank size, there might be a problem with the pbass and oscar if tank is to small.......again i say might be a problem

well i called the LFS that has a ornate bichir and asked if they can hold him till saturday for when i ca get there and they will only hold him for one day ... but he said he dont think he is going to go anywere as he is quite aggressive, he is 12-15" and guy at the store (livestock manager) said he likely be fine with my 9" tiger oscar and be alrght with a 10"+ bass, but he said be possibly concerened with a arowana and gar as if there just hanging out on the top he may go after them as the previous owner dropped him off there as he was too aggressive for his tank and was taking chunks outta 12"+ fish in his tank.... so would it be a good idea to stay away form him or grab him as my tiger is somewhat aggressive to others in the tank, or would it be a disaster waiting to happen ?
