Just finished stocking my 110

x5 firemouths
x2 jack dempseys
x2 Altum angels
x2 common plecostomas
x1 BGKF
x1 Lima shovelnose

What do you think I've got a flowerhorn in my grow out right now he'll be moved in when he gets bigger. What else do you guys think I should get for my tank?

take them out or they will be killed..

Common plecos are just messy... My gold nugget is actually highly efficient, it eats a lot of algae and poops very little.

I thought the same thing about the angels, but my Los was having a good sale on them so I said what the heck. They have been pretty well dominating the tank to the point that not even the catfish which is 4 times the size of them won't get near the angels.

If you move the flowerhorn in there's a good chance it will become a flowerhorn and pleco tank, if the pleco even makes it.

What is the footprint of this tank? Any plans to thin this stock down as they grow? Rather than common plecos I'd suggest the bristlenoses, they are pretty efficient cleaners and don't get massive. I had a nearly 12" one and it looked like someone TP'd my plants with poop. Also with the Firemouths or JD's, you get a breeding pair of either you could have some aggression issues. As for the Flowerhorn, It would only be a matter of time before that thing snapped and killed everything in the tank. I also agree the Angels need to go, while they could be dominate now, that can change overnight and they'll be gone. Especially once the Flowerhorn is added.

+1

My suggestion would be to get rid of either the jacks or the angels, and depending on the tank's size it might work out ya. Not sure if youre planning on getting a pair out of that group firemouths, but if thats case it could also mean trouble. Make sure you provide plenty of hiding places and break off some sight lines if you can, as Ive found this to help minimize aggression pretty well.

....oh and the flowerhorn is just a BIG NO NO !!
