New stocking help

I only have a Delhezi Bichir in a 55g. I want him to have a friend or friends. I’m open to anything, but they need to be african. I don’t want tetras or killifish or anything like that.

Why only african species?

How about bush fish? The one I had was pretty personable.

I want to keep it to sort of realistic stocking, instead of having a species from Africa, a species form South America, and a species from adia

add 2 delhezi or Senegal bichirs, could even add mokelembembe bichir if you find that species.
