Hell yea!

nice tank and very nice custom job on the 10 gallon.

This is actually the BEST custom 10 gallon i have ever seen by far. Algae scrubber, macro, and a filter sock.... wow dude!

while i do suggest a more direct light on the side of the algae scrubber, if its pulling stuff out then no worries. It would be more efficient but i am sure the macro makes up for it.

thanks im working on a direct light solution, that's just the old light setup that was on the 10gal just updated the bulb. my problem is trying to find a good spot to mount the light on this 10gal,thinking maybe a cfl floodlight? the algae filter seems to be working anyway im scrubbing less algae off the glass everyday.

today im going to be getting a 55gal tank from craig's list (love this site) and ill be prepping for the switch, just one question i know i have to get more rock and sand just not sure on how to go curing the stuff.(separate, one at a time?,in my tank now? or put everything in the new tank?)

getting a 55gal tank and stand today anybody able to answer my question about adding live rock and sand

add little bits of the sand at a time. If you cover your live sand with dead sand it will kill the good stuff. So just add a decent amount at a time.

For the rock, if its live rock add as much as you want. If its dead live rock i would only add up do 20% of your current amount of CYCLED LIVE rock.

So say you had 100lbs of cycled live rock. I would only add 20lbs every two weeks.

You may want to do this process a little slower too, because you have some real delicate stuff in your tank.

no soap... just water, and vinegar if you need it.
