But you wouldn't put a 1" spider in a 10 gallon and you are no where near able to breed. By the way this is what wayne said too "I wouldn't put a 1 inch T in one but anything close to an adult yes "I have try to help explain myself and my intentions where never be a smart a but to try and help you. By the way I wasn't saying you were wrong that there might be some problems with your set ups. You are right this is closed!

Unfortantly RepTech, I do have to agree with Kat here.
You know me, I hate keeping animals in restrictive areas. I like to give them as much room as possible.
But with arachnids generally, especially Tarantulas, smaller is better.
I expermimented with it myself, I put a Salmon Pink in a 4x2x2, with plenty of hides. He did a few wanders of the cage, and then just sat in the same place for a few weeks. He didn't web up at all.
I put him in a 36x12x12 all planted up and he started webbing more than I've ever seen him do. He wanders his viv all the time and even moves his fake plants around (stong little bugger). He uses two of his hides. It's a huge improvement. I've experimented with a few T's this way and can honestly say smaller is better and animals have done better in smaller cages.
Theres no need to get ridiculously small obviously though.
It's actually a fact that burrowing species of Tarantula as a rule of thumb never actually venture more than 4 feet away from their burrow, in a whole lifetime! With the obvious exception of mature males.

At the end of the day, trial and error will get you there. Me or Kat telling you to do it this way because it works, ain't gonna get anybody anywhere. All we can do is reccomend, let you do things your way and see what works for you.

I hope you can prove us wrong, that these tanks are all webbed up in two months time!

I now have 12 Tarantulas including:

1.1 .0 Chile Rose Hair
0.0.1 Brachypelma Boehmi
0.0.2 Blue Fang spiderlings
1.1.0 Haplopelma Minax (Thailand Black)
0.0.1 Grammostola sp "North"
0.0.1 Brachypelma Albiceps.
1.1.0 Skeleton Tarantula
0.0.1 Greenbottle blue tarantula.

A lot of different species to trial and error with.

Good Luck whatever happens :)
