Good afternoon all. On Wednesday I will be picking up a 300 gallon acrylic tank and stand. The tank is mostly to house my silver aro who is rapidly outgrowing the 75 he is in, as well as his current tank mates. I was also looking for some other stocking ideas.

Current stock going into 300:
1 8" silver arowana
1 8" ornate bichir
1 6" bgk
1 4" bleekeri
1 5" electric blue acara
2 4" Nicaraguan cichlids
1 3" yoyo loach.

I'm pretty excited about this tank. It has a built in sump. Called a weir right? The stand is tube steel. Best of all, it's being sold by a local church for $200. It will take some work, the 3d background in it is enormous and takes up more than half the tank so that will come out. The tank needs some heavy polishing as well, but for the price I can't turn it down. Again stocking ideas would be great. Also, do you think I could get away with not sanding it? I plan on hitting it with novus first to find out for sure. Thanks guys.

Thanks. Hoping to pick it up on Wednesday and then have it up and running by next week.

Great looking tank with an awesome background! Those scratches would drive me nuts though.

Well it comes with a built in sump with 2 overflows and 2 returns so I figure a couple of 700 gph pumps should do the trick. I already have one laying around. I also have tons of pre cycled media, mostly matrix. I was also thinking of throwing a purigen reactor in there along with my uv.

Yeah the scratches suck, but they should come out easily enough. And the background is the first thing coming out of that tank. I hate how huge it is.
