Hey... How do you manage to keep your other tank so spotless... no algae at all... With your inhabitants.. i know you can not have a clean up crew in the tank. What lighting are you using in your other "smaller" tank?

well the only filtration i have on the other tank is live rock, uv, skimmer, and a aquaripure nitrate filter. I just don't overfeed and do water changes every two weeks, and believe it or not the aquaripure nitrate filter helped allot, I have no nitrates at all now, and i used to have around 20 ppm. I'm not trying to sell the nitrate filter either but it does work for me. The only clean up crew i have is a hermit crab ive had forever and a african red knob starfish. I use low light too and now that ive moved the tanks into a room with large windows i run no lights at all except moon lights once in awhile, the sharks are out way more with using natural light, I've noticed.
got the return pumps in today and finished the return lines, I had it running with freshwater for a little bit then realized i had a problem. The line connecting the two sumps is too small and the first sump is getting overrun by the returns, so now I have to try and drill the tenecor sump and put a larger diameter line to the big sump so the sumps can even out faster. I was only running one hammerhead and the 1.5" line connecting the two sumps wasnt working, I looked at it and was like wow im stupid lol obviously the hammerhead was going to overrun it, so im goin back to lowes tommorow for like the 50th time to get some pvc to try and make a bigger connection between the two. On a positive note the tenecor tank doesn't leak and that's good since they are virtually impossible to get a hold of lately.
