New tank for my room

Okay, this is probably not going to make any sense to anybody but me who reads this but here we go...

I want to get some kind of cichlid tank for my room. I am thinking a 75 with a single jag, or with a GT and a crenicichla sveni with some dithere, or some kind of CA setup with a salvini, texas, con, firemouth, pleco, or a 40 breeder/55g with a single GT as a wet pet (which would the GT like more the 40 or the 55).

If you will decide to go with a single species as a show tank, I would suggest investing in a nice Flowerhorn.

from your choices I'd go with single red devil. a single jag might work but a jag may wind up getting kinda cramped in a 75. if you're not into red devils and want something along the lines of a jag then you might check out either P. motaguense, P. loisellei or P. friedrichsthalli. they are cousin species to the jaguar but don't grow as large and would live fine in a 75 for life.

Oh and for the 75 gallon, what kind of cichlids should I do for a CA community? I was thinking a JD, texas, salvini, con, and firemouth?

I like the single big cichlid in a 75g Idea.Theres lots of choices for a tank that size,and most will coexist with a big pleco

What fish would you recomend? I want a wet pet like fish, but not an oscar (I have nothing against oscars just would rather dovote the 75 to something a bit rarer)...
