After you get an ammonia reading, then a nitrIte reading.
Then as they both go down to ZERO PPM and nitrAte reading of 20-40 PPM you are cycled...

It is your fishes best friend..use it to determine the quality of your perameters...you take care of the water and everything will fall into place...
Did you read that bit on fishless cycling?

yeah i did but i use one of my filter from my other tank and its been running been reading the parameters and it is not ready yet
