I knew I had to switch around things when the newest and last addition to the tank - the sal - tried to get into the hole the HRP dug out and got himself stuck. So I went down to the hardware store and picked up a 4" diameter PVC pipe and went to work of redecorating.

In both pictures, there are two small rock piles on opposite sides of the tank, under these rock piles is a 2" pvc pipe. On the new setup the large rockpile in the right center is the 4" pvc pipe. Also added a few more fake plants to give it more green.
And yes I have one of those strip things on my tank, I only have it there as I was having issues with my tap water due to flooding so wanted it for the sole purpose of when I'm filling the tank back up, no I don't use it as my method for taking my tank parameters as I have an API master fresh water test kit.
