Gone fishin...
I want to get some neat tank-mates for my Oscar and JD for their new 150 gal home.

Someone once suggested Silver Dollar. That would be cool! Their shiny, and sort of look like Piranha..

I'm not sure though - I WANT MONSTER FISH! But.. some species that won't outgrow my tank. Piranha seem a bit too aggressive for an Oscar and a JD. And I'd hate to see my O get eaten up alive just because he get's sick or something.

Has anyone ever successfully kept Kuhili Loach's with an Oscar and a JD? (well tunneled and caved) Or am I crazy for considering them?

Also, What temperature do you keep your Oscar cichlid's and tank-mates at? :screwy:

i think a couple of bala sharks would be cool for that tank size since these can get 14" but usually see around 10"-12" imo..but yea idk how it would workout but i seen and heard its supposed to be all good..(peaceful) hopefully you find something..good luck.

how bout some tinfoil barbs? ther shiny and fast and big enough to avoid your oscar and JD... o i keep my tank at about 82deg

Thanks, YP. I'll look up full-grown bala sharks on youtube..

I had a beautiful red-fin tinfoil barb, my JD wanted him for breakfast - tinfoils get huge don't they? mine was about 7-8"

What about a Green Terror, Blue acara, jag cichlid, or a Geo???

A green terror would work. I'd throw in a salvini and a pair of sajicas as well

Pair of sajicas, do you mean male / female or just two?

i know some might think im stupid but a nice male convict would also be great.
in my opinion if given the space and proper nutrients they do look really good.
