New tank set up!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Added more live rock, and two fish a customer gave me at work. I think I'm going to also get snowflake moray, and a panther grouper, maybe a trigger. As I said I will get a bigger tank to put these in around feb-april.

nice additions, id probably only get one of them until you have the larger setup. Even at a small size they can produce a lot of waste and can cause a strain on your current system.

for the upgrade, are you planning on running a sump and what not?? if not, id strongly suggest you do. More water volume and much better filtration capcity than any hang on or canister will provide, and they will not aid in the production of nitrate and phosphate, which with larger fish like that, will be an issue and you could see a lot of very annoying hair algae and other species of algae.

yes it is true snow flake eels can get quite big and tusk fish are nice to but they are kinda skidish in the tank at first. and I have had both. but I always like the eels its just the mixing them that I have had problems with and the tank size to accompany them because it is about a hundred gallons an eel. and I have had a lion fish to go in it to and he was almost eight inches long and the bars on him were a vivid red and he was awsome.

Although based on the size of the filtration, and the fish, in comparison to the tank size...I would say these werent RESCUED FROM A 29, rather they were put INTO A 29. Hmm sad.
