i just finished setting up my new tank, its 8'x8'x2' about 960 gallons. after it cycles, what would be some good fish to add, what sizes etc. im wanting to do something with small sharks but i dont know what would be compatible in this size any help would be appreciated

thanks

First we need some pictures :D I'd do a horn shark, as I think they are pretty cool looking and would max out around 4'. You could do a cat shark banded or bamboo. I'd just stay away from black reef tips as they are way too active and big for most tanks.

at that size you could do any of the bamboos or catsharks. brownbanded is a popular choice, not too difficult [comparatively], easy to acquire, and they look like small nurses. personally i would get an eppie or two, or a trio of coral cats. stay away from lionfish, puffers, triggers, angels and butterflies and you'll be fine. groupers, large dottybacks, eels, large wrasses, are some good shark tankmates.

i dont have a camera but ill buy one asap, but im broke from this build lol, its only 2 feet tall because its in one room of our house to the other, so if you in the living room and your looking at the tank, you see a window 8'x2' in the wall and a never ending fish tank, i dunno how to explain it but its awesome, if i dont do sharks what other idea can you give me, i kinda awnt a more colorful display without all the hassles of a reef, maybe a fowlr setup? right now there is nothing in it but live sand about 3" deep and the saltwater of course, thanks for reading this

please dont flame me for this but i have to ask, since i live in florida i go fishing all the time and almost everytime i go out, i catch bonnetheads around 8-10" and atlantic sharpnoses about the same size, how do you think they would do in my tank, i can get them home fine i dont live to far from the beach

Bonnet heads would be a bad idea. They need huge tanks because they need to be constantly swimming. I mean your tank is big just not anywhere near big enough. Same thing with the atlantic sharpnose. I'm wondering when Zoodiver will show up in this thread.
Any of the catsharks would work. You can always keep a few of them because you would have a great amount of footprint on this tank.

ok i figured that on the bonnet and shaprpnose but figured id ask
