How about a load of colourful Malawi cichlids? The way these fish change their colour will keep you fascinated for a long time. Get a whole bunch of different mbuna's, put lots of rocks in on top of coral grit. Get them small and enjoy watching them grow. 
I suggest a school of 3-4 pirahnas. slightly different then the usal Oscar or African or lame-o Discus tanks

what about use it to grow out an arowana, keep some catfish (not an rtc they mean) maybe a pleco, some clown loaches. Or you could make a Frontosa tank.... those always look cool.
