Towards the end of the year i'll be upgrading to a larger tank. Probably be 96x30 not sure in the height yet but it will be at the min 300 gal. Have all the quotes from different builders (probably going with midwest customs) and the sump design/size (75 to 100+ gal herbie) decided.

Latley ive been day dreaming about what to put in it. I already know i want it to be a mainly poly tank. With the addition of my heterospilus (just a chill fish not an aggressive eater at all) and some clown loaches (my son loves them)

So this is what i was thinking, the del and sen will stay with the pearsei in the 150 the new tank will have the following :
2x cb endli (already have)
1x ornate (already have)
1x pbb or congi
1x sp.dabola
1x faranah endli
2x (mystery endli may get 1 or 2 now to grow out until then if i only get 1 maybe add a koloton or koliba to the list)
1x heterospilus
3 or 4 x clown loaches

What do you guys think ? Suggestions welcomed.

I feel clown loaches should be in a shoal of at least 5 or 6 to get the more natural social hierarchy they establish in a group. Being that they grow so slow, you may want to pick them up now to start growing them out so they don't become a poly snack later down the road.

+1, and why not a PBB and congi lol. Stocking sounds good to me

So 5 or 6 it is lol. Rapps usually has them at 4 or 6 inches but yeah no small ones. I had a group a while back and agree very slow growers

Suggestions welcomed !! You dont think 2 of those big boys will be too much ?

Not imo, bichirs like to pile up, some tanks seem to use polys as substrate lol! And all fish seem to be in perfect health and happy

Also since your getting the tank custom built, I'd say try to go as big in the width and length as you can, and leave the height to be as much as your door allows it to fit through, but you have to also take into account the angles you'd be bringing the tank in

Lol i love polys but am going to try and avoid having a complete poly carpet if i can muster up the will power to stop buying them after the tank is stocked

I hve no experience with large polys so i dont know what to expect bio load wise.

The more bichers the merrier. I would do a nice aro or maybe ATF to complement the bottom dwellers.
