Hello everyone, I’m back so soon!
My LFS recently got a used 220 and is either giving it to me, or letting me set it up as a display tank in their shop. (Honestly either is fine with me.) However I’m here to ask you good folks what you think I should stock it with.

If it stays at the shop I want it to be busy, no wet pet situation. But a nice group of pretty Sa or CA cichlids. If I take it home, I’m open to a wet pet, or a group. Either way it will be very cool.

The dimensions are 60x24x36 . So let’s hear your ideas.

I miss typed the dimensions sorry 72x24x36
That’s more like it XD I suppose I should also had that I am dealing with Florida liquid rock. So super soft water fish probably won’t do so well.

Goes, is definitely an option I am considering.

If the water is hard Geos may not do too well. Although anything can be acclimated gradually I guess.
Madagascar tank would be cool. Paretroplus menarambo and nourisatti, maybe some large rainbow fish. Lots of driftwood and rocks in the tank.

Locally here there is a couple breeders that have breed multiple generations of winemilleri and red head tapajos. They would already be well acclimated to the water having been born and raised in it. I agree a Madagascar tank could be cool too.

I do love Meeki! Although I’m already doing a T.Aureus / swordtail tank at home. So I think I’d like to setup something completely different here.

Red Terrors (festae), Take a year to get them nice and big, but from then on oh man! RTs are so stunning, maybe even a harem, like 3 females and one big bull male.

No way a harem of adult festae will survive long in that tank. It's hard enough to keep a breeding pair in a 6 foot tank.

I was thinking harem while growing out from the 4in size to around 8in.Then the sub females can be sold and only the male and the female he likes the most stays.
My thoughts were to get more activity in the tank without dithers. I saw a YouTube vid of a guy doing this, but his male was bigger and had lots of hides for the smaller females. May be a bit different with all the same size fish.
