Thanks a lot for the nice comments and advice guys! I'm new to this too, and I'm very enthusiastic. The aros do not ever fight at all, in fact they seem to cling onto each other and follow each other. In fact, i've even seen them share food: if i throw in 3 crickets or sticks, somehow, they will all receive one. It's nice! I'm going to the store this week again to buy a water test kit so I can do that twice a week. I might also check out some plants: what plants do you guys recommend? (I like to keep a simple tank without too much decor in it in order to draw more attention to the beauty of the fish)

Plants would provide great contrast in your tank! Can't say much else though...haven't had any arowanas.

anubias nana, java fern. all strong, hardy plants.
