I have had 55 gallon tanks for 20 years. Just upgraded to a 180. It came with a 16" rtc. He will eat right from your hand.

Best purchase so far to go along with the tank is a 25' water changer. I can't believe I went all these years without one. With the larger tank, I couldn't live without it.

My first post so hopefully I attached the pictures correctly.

Sweeet tank :D However, are you planning on upgrading in the near future? The RTC's gonna need a pond of at least a few hundred gallons once it gets bigger.

Nice new tank but like others have said you will need a much larger tank soon for that rtc. Think 1000gal+

Nice tank and a nice RTC ! I just bought a little one that's about 4 inches long. They are one of my favorite fish.

welcome to mfk ....there is plenty of info in this forum regarding the fast growing rate of the RTC and the size of the setup you will eventually need.
also ...as a suggestion I would recommend placing that cascade canister in a plastic bin or something so in case of a slowly leakage, your hardwood floors will be safe.

I'm already lobbying to move up to a 300 gallon tank. I'm in San Diego so I'm starting to like the idea of a heated pond for him.
