btw man.. I've seen the question of how fast redlines will grow a couple of times and my experience is they grow F.A.S.T!! maybe you could use this thread as a comparison between the giant and the rtc..

They will grow very fast until the 30 cm mark as my experience with this one , then slow abit down, hes still growing tho no doubt but im watching everyday really hard for me too tell how fast it grwos but im sure if i would keep posts every month u would see the diffrence , and i wouldnt.

from personal experiance i would say the rct way outgrows the mirco in speed of growth. the micro will slow down a lot at the two foot mark as will the rtc but the rtc seams to get there first most of the time and given enough space will outgrow the micro in size very easy. they do however stunt very easy and i have seen them years old at only 18" kept in small tanks.

as the main cause of stunting fish is high nitrate levels , in a smaller tank the micro will useally outgrow as they are not effected by nitrare stunting.

if you want to slow the growth a bit lower the ph , i have found most snakehead grow at a slower rater the lower the ph is, and they also normally show better pattern or colour in softer lower ph water

cheers col
