And i thought i was the only one who still likes undergravel filters.

Me too (I still use a few) im surprised though especially after turtlesrock said this

UGF's??? y do you use those they dont do anything

im not using it as a filter.. im hooking my return into the ugf so that it is like UGJ's.. i will never use UGF's again! they are a pain in the butt, the do little mechanical, and they just dont work well on any of my tanks because all the tanks i have are super heavily stocked!

thats a pretty awsome size for turtles. have you been successful keeping snails in your tank? i have a r.e.s. and she eats everything including snails.

hmm... my turtles are still small ( 3-4 inches) the snails are pretty big too. the only problem is the snails never getting to crawl around because they ar kicked so much. LOLZ
