definetly a longnose gar.....

and that slight arch to the back may just be the broken back i warned of earlier.....

juvi gars are best kept in smaller tanks until they begin to show more girth to avoid high speed collisions with the tank wall....
 
it does look like the body of a longnose gar.

even though most longnose gars are devoid of most body markings and patterns (especially the underside) some populations from muddy/dark waters display heavy spotting and the center horizontal stripe more prominently than others.

thats what threw me off, the markings are really dark.
