Cali LOL he busted seller... I hope they make it regardless so he can find them the right home where they can live legaly and healthy...

He didn't want to listen...all of that flaming and his only come back was...oh I have a 125gal in my garage...not thanks for the help, decor changed, tanks cleaned and tiles gone. This is the way many rays will end their life.

I think we could all be a little softer with our responses to not scare these people off but it's very frustrating with the same old mistakes. The suppliers really need to help educate their customers too.

When they're sending rays to illegal states, that probably tells you what's most important to them.. $$

Yes, very true unless the buyer did not tell them and did a local pick up. This is the sad side of any animal sold where profit goes above care. I had a fish shop many years ago and got in to reptiles, I was shocked at how many die at the importers to get one living on in a shop (this was 18 years ago so may have changed and I hope there is more captive breeding)

If it's the store in Bloomington, IN it's 2k miles or more to Salinas CA.

Ah, there we are then, the retailer should get in trouble for that as well then. I suspect the one with the curl was a dead ray swimming before it was even in the buyers tank....sad! The new owner would need to buy a decent tank, setup and learn quickly but some do and sadly too many do not.
