Okay, game on.
I correctly identified the cichla temensis. When I made a big deal about getting it the other day, the store owner said that he would keep it for me... SAID !!! DID NOT DO !!!
( They had no idea what they had. They were still trying to tell my wife that it was just a "spotted bass" today when she went to pick it up. ) They told her that when they came in today, the bass had jumped out of the tank that it was in, and was found dead on the floor. BUT, another employee said that the owner looked up on the internet what I said it was, validated me, and sold it to a friend of his for $300 !!!!!
Just in case you live in the Ft.Worth area, and frequent a store called "Keller Farms" on 377 South in Haltom City, quit. They are under new management, Paige Ullman is gone.
The new owners are absolute morons when it comes to fish, and they are liars.

It really is a shame. That place was the best in the area to buy cool fish, a few years ago.
But Paige sold the store, and recently It has gone straight to the toilet. I have spent thousands of dollars there in the past, but I will find someone else who treats their customers with respect.

Sorry man... that would have been awesome. I guess its a good thing your wife went to pick it up. If it had been me... I would have raised some hell. But also with me... my wife would have done it too... lol. Probably worse than me.... She did that when one of my monocs from a lfs died after like 2 weeks. She raised hell and somehow got the money back for the TWO that I bought. But one of the guys wasn't being nice, so another employee backed her up and so she got the full refund. And it didn't specify on the reciept that I bought two, since I made a deal for two, but the other guy knew, so she didn't rip anyone off. I just told her what I was typing about and she said "I love to talk smack"
Yeah....Mama wasn't real nice to the man, It was supposed to be my early Fathers Day present. I think she told him " You don't know a bass from your ass !! " Hehehe
