I just got a batch of Temensis. Wow am I excited. They were in a bag for about 10 hours. They came out pretty groggy. When I finally put them in the tank they just stayed at the bottom for the first day. Its the second day and they look much better. They're not eating though. I tried fish pellets and dried little shrimp. No interest at all. Then I put some little 1/4 inch fish in there. Holy Crap they came alive. What suggestions does everyone have for getting them to eat. I'm worried that they are weak from the trip. How long will they last without eating? Thank's for the help.

Is it normal if a couple of them have what looks to me like blood under the skin right at the base of the tail?

They can live without food for days.
That blood under the skin was probably from ammonia burn being in bag for 10 hrs. Will heal in few days. Don't worry.

Wow these temensis are delicate. I lost 4 over the weekend. Some developed ich so I raised the water temp. to 82 degrees and some medicine. It's interesting to see their instincts take over when they are chasing feeder fish. They look invincible. Then suddenly out of nowhere they're belly up in the tank.

I just raised the temperature to 88. I see some more spots on another of the tems. Crap! It doesn't seem to affect there appetite though.
